I’m going to take a wild guess and assume that Brandon Aiyuk’s market is gradually drying up. Although it’s still there, the possibilities are getting more limited. But the whole commerce stuff is weird. Instagram photos, mysterious responses to queries, and unfollows and follows. At the core of it all are the 49ers.

It’s a bit like something from the past. As you would say, a “watch.” The Steelers had their own trade concerns, not Aiyuk asking questions and Aiyuk responding with some ambiguous messages. A 49ers wide receiver full of hope. Antonio Brown is his name.

See, the 49ers were linked to two wide receivers (not including Emmanuel Sanders, who the team was reportedly considering at the time). Odell Beckham Jr. was one of them, but reason dictated it wasn’t going to happen. At least, initially. The second was Antonio Brown, who started Antonio Brown Watch after seeing a harmless tweet from George Kittle. There has never been an event like this one. Not even Michael Jackson received this much media attention.

Brown’s problems with the Pittsburgh Steelers were the root of the entire situation. And then, well, that was something else. He ultimately held an AMA with ten questions, of which he only answered six, insisted that we all refer to him as Mr. Big Chest, and the origin of

You guys, the 2019 offseason was strange.

A countdown was the main event. A $2.5 million roster bonus was owed to Brown, and it became effective on March 17. That was it; you could tell that the entire month would be filled with “will he or won’t he” blogging action. And it certainly did not let me down. Simply glance at the image above.

Brown After being traded to the Oakland Raiders, Mr. Big Chest received a massive contract and became the subject of jokes from me, especially because the Raiders had already lost the Khalil Mack deal (you know, because the Bears acquired Khalil Mack). With Brown Mr. Big Chest suffering frostbite feet, being freed from the Raiders, being taken up by the Patriots, and then running into legal issues, it finished as magnificently as it had begun.

He is no longer in the league. It was an extremely strange turn of events.

You may still follow Mr. Big Chest on X, in all his insanity. He doesn’t seem to know what he’s talking about, and neither do I. All I know is that while the 2019 offseason was unusual, it provided us with a good supply of content to keep things going for the few months that everyone will be itching for football.

It’s Brandon Aiyuk’s turn to watch now. Is he going to or not? Will a deal be reached? Oh no, these are better off when the 49ers are the ones calling instead of receiving calls.
