£10 billion
Even though Kylian Mbappe recently joined Real Madrid and is his country’s captain, his net worth is far less than that of a previous Premier League player.

A former midfielder in the Premier League who is now a biochemical genius is worth 715 times as much as Kylian Mbappe, the captain of France.

Mathieu Flamini, the former great player for Arsenal, amassed an incredible £10 billion in wealth after making a number of wise investments after his playing career. After two stints with the Gunners, the forty-year-old retired from the game in 2019 and joined business partner Pasquale Granata to co-found GF Biochemicals, a biochemical company.

And since its establishment, the two have made millions of dollars. The first company to successfully make levulinic acid, an oil substitute, in large quantities was GF Biochemicals.
