Tyler Cordner, a York City defender, is expected to depart the National League club on loan in the coming days, the York Press reports.
The 25-year-old joined York from Aldershot Town last summer, but had a rough start with the club, just avoiding relegation back to th National League North, and is now likely to leave.
Confirming his impending exit, the club’s co-owner Matt Uggla stated on the York Hospital ball podcast (quotes via the York Press) …
However, Cordner hasn’t featured for York since early March, which arrived during a 3-2 defeat against Wealdstone and that itself was his first appearance since December.
York finished 20th in the National League, one point above the relegation zone, and won safety on the last day despite a defeat to Solihull Moors.
York have already confirmed a number of departures, including Quevin Castro, David Stockdale, and Kai Kennedy, with Cordner poised to follow them out the door, albeit only on loan.
