LAKE FOREST, Illinois – Although Ryan Poles, the general manager of the Chicago Bears, hasn’t made many headlines by signing big stars during the free agency offseason so far, he made a major splash on Thursday to fill a need.
The Bears are acquiring wide receiver Keenan Allen from the Los Angeles Chargers this April for a fourth-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft, per numerous sources first reported by Jay Glazer. On their depth chart, DJ Moore will be paired with Allen and second-year receiver Tyler Scott by the Bears.
Although the 31-year-old Allen has played with the Chargers for his entire 11-year career, he has had difficulty staying healthy recently.
In return for Allen, the Bears will send the 110th overall pick to Los Angeles along with two fourth-round selections (110 and 122nd overall).
