Illinois’s Lake Forest The Bears have been quite silent over the last day following their early-free agency contract. But just one day after bringing in running back D’Andre Swift, the Bears added another component to their offensive on Tuesday.
The Bears and seasoned tight end Gerald Everett have reached an agreement, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. According to Adam Schefter, the deal is for two years, with a $12 million base value and a maximum value of $14 million, which includes a fully guaranteed $6.1 million.
Shane Waldron, who served as the Los Angeles Rams’ tight ends coach in 2017 and as their passing game coordinator through 2020, reunites with the 29-year-old Everett. When they got back together in Seattle in 2021, Waldron was the offensive coordinator.
