The Miami Heat are facing significant challenges with injuries as they near the end of their 2023-24 regular season. Tonight, they will be missing several key players as they prepare to take on a mostly healthy Golden State Warriors team.

As per the latest NBA injury report, Miami will be without wings Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and Josh Richardson for tonight’s game. While Richardson is sidelined for the remainder of the season, Herro and Robinson are expected to return before the regular season concludes. Herro is dealing with right foot medial tendinitis, while Robinson is recovering from left facet syndrome.

Additionally, several other important contributors for Miami are listed as questionable for the game. All-Rookie First Team contender Jaime Jaquez Jr. has been upgraded to questionable status after missing the last few games due to left ankle discomfort. Backup center Kevin Love (right heel bruise) and forward Caleb Martin (right ankle discomfort) are also questionable. However, Jamal Cain is available to play despite a left thumb sprain.

Regarding Miami’s top players, there is mixed news for fans. All-Star center Bam Adebayo will be available to play despite a lower back contusion, while All-NBA swingman Jimmy Butler is questionable due to a non-COVID-19-related head illness.

The absence of Martin and Love has forced the Heat to rely heavily on raw talents Nikola Jovic and Haywood Highsmith in the frontcourt. With only 11 games left in Miami’s schedule, there is limited time for the injured players to recover.

While Miami’s defense remains strong, the offense has struggled to find consistency, despite mid-season acquisitions such as point guard Terry Rozier and combo guards Patty Mills and Delon Wright.

On the other hand, the Warriors have only one player listed on their injury report: reserve center/power forward Trayce Jackson-Davis, who is questionable with a sore left knee.

Miami previously won against the Warriors at the Chase Center with a score of 114-102 on December 28, 2023. Due to the numerous injuries, the 39-32 Heat are considered 3.5-point underdogs at home against the 36-34 Warriors, according to The Action Network. However, Golden State’s struggles with inconsistent scoring and defensive rigidity may work in Miami’s favor, especially if Butler is able to play.

The game is scheduled to tip off at 4:30 p.m. PT/7:30 p.m. ET at the Kaseya Center in Miami and will be broadcast on Bally Sports Sun in Miami and NBC Sports Bay Area in Northern California.
