Defiant Fabio Silva admits he felt the “impact” of negative comments during the final weeks of his Rangers career.
The Wolves loanee failed to make a significant impact during his time in the Scottish Premiership after signing a loan agreement deal from the English Premier League six in January. Despite excitement from fans over his arrival – having boasted a £35million price tag when he moved from FC Porto to Molineux – he failed to live up to the hype netting just six goals in 25 appearances.
The 21-year-old was deployed on the left-wing by Philippe Clement as Rangers saw their bid to become Scottish Premiership champions fall apart before signing off his time in Govan with Scottish Cup Final defeat to Celtic. However, Silva’s most controversial moment in a Rangers’ top came after scoring against Kilmarnock.
