The two previous world champions have been mentioned in relation to a return.

The two, who are now in their forties, have mentioned on occasion that they might be enticed to return to the ring, and Froch even suggested that he and Bellew could engage in combat.
Bellew expressed his openness to the concept and his belief that he would be the winner.
“Was Carl Froch really joking?” he asked. With Carl, you never really know. I’m not sure how much it would cost to get me into the ring for an exhibition match against Carl, but I can’t tell you that much.
