The two previous world champions have been mentioned in relation to a return.
Tony Bellew, a former world cruiserweight champion, said that he would return if the money is right.
One of the greatest boxers to come out of Britain, Bellew went on to win a world title while competing and went on to become a respected analyst.
Following his own spectacular career in which he won the super middleweight title, Froch is currently in the media as well.
The two, who are now in their forties, have mentioned on occasion that they might be enticed to return to the ring, and Froch even suggested that he and Bellew could engage in combat.
Bellew expressed his openness to the concept and his belief that he would be the winner.
“Was Carl Froch really joking?” he asked. With Carl, you never really know. I’m not sure how much it would cost to get me into the ring for an exhibition match against Carl, but I can’t tell you that much.
“Never say never again.” Let me assure you, Carl wouldn’t see the last bell, but it wouldn’t happen at Goodison Park.
I regret to inform you that I will be battling once more if the proper deal is made.
“Everyone has a price, and while people on social media are free to say whatever they want, if someone is asking for money and you can’t refuse to accept that price, then you should take action.”
