According to numerous sources, veteran offensive tackle Kevin Zeitler has decided to accept a one-year contract with the Detroit Lions, leaving the Baltimore Ravens after three years.
After playing for the Ravens for the previous three seasons, Zeitler was selected as an alternate for his first Pro Bowl in 2023. On the Lions’ offensive line, he is expected to take the place of fellow guard Jonah Jackson, who left in free agency to join the Los Angeles Rams last week.
The Cincinnati Bengals selected the 34-year-old former Wisconsin Badger in the 2012 NFL Draft. After five seasons, Zeitler became the highest paid guard in the NFL when he inked a five-year, $60 million deal with the Cleveland Browns.
