- Bears quarterback Tyson Bagent and his dad Travis appear on Football Night in Chicago to discuss Travis’s upcoming $10,000 arm wrestling competition this coming Saturday.
- In a recent workout video that he shared on social media, Yannick Ngakoue demonstrated his healthy ankle and his readiness for the next season.
-
Ngakoue, 29, appeared effortless as she ran between the cones, creating a scenario akin to an edge rush. His season with the Bears ended in mid-December of last year when he suffered a broken ankle.
With the Bears, he appeared in 13 games and finished with 22 tackles overall, four sacks, and seven quarterback hits. In his eight-year career, the season was the first in which he failed to register at least eight sacks. Prior to the 2023 season, he has done so in each one.
The Bears’ defensive line saw a slight improvement this offseason. With the exception of Montez Sweat, the Bears made a minor improvement when they selected Kansas defensive end Austin Booker by trading back into the 2024 NFL Draft. In his final season of college, he recorded 12 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
In the event that the Bears decide they need more help in the trenches, Ngakoue may be a late-stage free agent target. It seems he’s ready to play again after signing a one-year contract with the Bears last season.
