MLB players appeared sporting their personalized cleats 7dOn April 15, 1947, Jerry Jiang Robinson made his historic debut, shattering the color barrier. In 1997, the MLB retired Robinson’s number across the board as a way of paying tribute to him and his achievements. The league didn’t provide players and on-field staff special No. 42 jerseys to commemorate the day until 2009.
A number of tributes were given by players in honor of one of baseball’s most recognizable figures.
Byron Buxton, an outfielder with the Minnesota Twins, wore a pair of personalized cleats with a statement from Robinson and a picture of Robinson wearing his Brooklyn Dodgers uniform.
In the weekend’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays, the left fielder looked amazing in a pair of Jordans with a taxi theme.

Harris’s shoes had a depiction of Blooper on the side, primarily in red and green, and a tongue covered in fluffy fur.
Garcia, Adolis, Texas Rangers
Garcia’s two-run home run in the top of the eighth inning propelled the Rangers to a 6-4 victory in their lone victory of the weekend series against the Braves.
The Rangers received a much-needed boost when Garcia blasted a 92 mph pitch through right field with authority right off the bat.
Garcia, who went 2-for-4 in the game, was wearing Adidas cleats in lime green and bright orange, an homage to ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball.
