A key component of four Golden State Warriors championship teams has been Draymond Green. The reliable defensive player can have an effect without illuminating the scoreboard. This also applies to the offensive end, where he frequently plays point forward and acts as a key fulcrum.

The Warriors were defeated by the New Orleans Pelicans 114-109 on Friday night. Golden State is now 45-36 with one game left in the regular season as a result of that.

Regarding his overall stats for the evening, the 34-year-old Green accomplished something quite uncommon in the defeat. In NBA history, he is only the fourth player to record a double-double without netting a single basket.

Draymond’s 0-Point Double-Double Moves Him Into Just the Fourth Position.
For Green, finishing with a double-double isn’t always an uncommon occurrence. Currently, the 2012 second-round selection has 153 career regular season touchdowns. On top of that, the four-time All-Star has recorded 32 triple-doubles.

However, his final stat line from Friday’s game was unusual. Green finished with 12 rebounds, 11 assists, and 0 points in 36 minutes. He became only the fourth player in history to record a zero-point double-double. The other two occurred quite lately.

Tomas Satoransky of the Washington Wizards achieved the feat on March 30, 2022. Against the Orlando Magic, he played 27 minutes without scoring but finished with 10 rebounds and 13 assists. Since then, Satoransky has only appeared in six NBA games; he now plays in the Czech Republic.

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Josh Giddey was selected sixth overall in the 2021 NBA Draft. On December 26, 2021, in his debut season, Giddey finished with 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and zero points in 28 minutes of play.

That was the first time it happened in 1971. The athlete was three-time All-Star Norm Van Lier. Van Lier’s final box score on January 5, 1971, while playing for the Cincinnati Royals, was 0 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists.
