During her rookie campaign, Caitlin Clark has not only increased viewership but also betting activity within the WNBA.
Three times as many bets are placed on games starring Clark as there are on the league average, per a survey released on Monday by the marketing firm Optimove.
Researchers at Optimove examined 15 million wagers on 43 WNBA games in May for the findings; nine of those games included Clark and her Indiana Fever. The survey found that wagering on Fever games had sharply increased.
Clark was involved in all five of the most bet games, including the season-opening matchup with the Connecticut Sun, which had 544% more bets than the average.
The amount of bets increased by 380% on average in Clark’s games.
