Jaylen Brown was the standout player as the Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers 126-110 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, taking a 2-0 series lead.

Brown scored a career playoff-high 40 points, including 10 points in the first half, helping the Celtics pull away from the Pacers.

The Celtics overcame a five-point deficit in the first quarter, eventually building a 15-point lead in the second quarter. This turnaround was sparked by Brown’s crucial 3-pointer with 5.7 seconds remaining in regulation in Game 1, which forced overtime.

During a critical six-minute stretch, the Pacers missed nine consecutive shots and committed four turnovers. Brown capitalized on this, scoring 10 points during the run and totaling 24 points by halftime.

In addition to Brown’s performance, the Celtics were bolstered by Derrick White and Jayson Tatum, who each scored 23 points, and Jrue Holiday, who added 15 points and 10 assists.

For the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton managed eight assists and ten points before leaving the game with a sore left leg. Pascal Siakam led Indiana with 28 points, and Andrew Nembhard contributed 16 points.

The series will now shift to Indiana for Game 3 on Saturday.
