According to Fanatik, Rangers midfielder Ianis Hagi has been placed on the transfer list by the club and may potentially make a significant move to Turkey with Galatasaray. The Turkish outlet reports that Hagi, aged 25, has been earmarked for a possible departure from Ibrox ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, with Galatasaray expressing interest in reuniting him with the club where his father Gheorge established himself as one of Europe’s top players.

Hagi has not been in the plans of current manager Philippe Clement, having been loaned out to La Liga side Alaves at the beginning of the season under Michael Beale’s tenure. It appears that Clement does not envision the Romanian playmaker as part of his future squad for the upcoming campaign, prompting Galatasaray to take notice of his potential availability.

Despite initially showing promise at Rangers, particularly after making a permanent move from Genk following a successful loan stint in 2020, Hagi’s involvement has dwindled. While he played a significant role alongside Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, and Kemar Roofe in breaking Celtic’s dominance and securing the Scottish Premiership title in 2021, his progress seems to have stalled since then.
