A former Arsenal star who won three trophies with the club including the FA Cup, has become the new manager of non-league side Leatherhead.

Ian Selley, 49, has left fellow non-league side Westfield, to take over as the manager of the Isthmian League South Central Division club.

During his time at the Gunners, Selley won the European Cup Winners Cup, FA Cup and League Cup under George Graham at Highbury.

He made 60 appearances for the club and scored in European games against Standard Liege and Brondby.

Speaking on his appointment, the former midfielder told Leatherhead’s official website: ‘I am very excited to get started as I see Leatherhead as one of the biggest clubs in this league.
