After another solid performance from MoneyGram Haas F1 Team Esports in Event 2, encapsulated by driver Alfie Butcher becoming the youngest-ever race winner in the series history, momentum is with the American squad ahead of the Season Finale of the F1 Sim Racing World Championship.

Event Three is split across three days, with Tuesday and Wednesday both hosting two events, before Thursday’s final showdown of the season in Abu Dhabi. Today’s action will see the field face Mexico City and Sao Paulo; Wednesday will host all-new races to the Sim Racing schedule in Las Vegas and Qatar, before Thursday’s climatic season finale in Abu Dhabi.

MoneyGram Haas F1 Team Esports sits seventh place in the Constructors’ Championship with 50 points, with drivers Alfie Butcher and Ulas Ozyildirim placed seventh and 21st respectively.

“Going into Event Three I’m looking to finish the season on a high and pick up some good points to finish a positive first season in F1 Esports,” said Alfie Butcher. “It’s been a rather chaotic few weeks of preparation to give us the best chance of finishing in the top positions, but I’m confident for the final five rounds. Looking back at Event Two, there were many ups and downs, so with that being said I’m looking to pick up some consistency in my results and finish as high up in the Constructers’ and Driver’s standings.”

“Going into Event Three I feel motivated to get some points on the board,” shared Ulas Ozyildirim. “I could help the team to secure our first win of the season in Spielberg, but I had some situations in which some were under my control but some were not meaning I couldn’t get any points. Preparation has been good so I’m looking forward to Event Three.”

“Of course, I’m excited about the final event and curious to see where we end up in the standings,” stated Bence Szabó-Kónyi. “Last event we had some unlucky moments where we lost out on a lot of points, so if we’re a bit more fortunate in this third event, it has the potential to be better than the second one. We did our best during the preparation phase, we are well prepared, so I’m confident we can do well and gain positions in the Sim Racing World Championship.”
