The Hoosiers added onto their frontcourt with the forward from Tennessee.
Indiana women’s basketball landed a commitment out of the transfer portal from former Tennessee forward Karoline Striplin on Thursday.
Striplin entered the portal after former Lady Volunteers head coach Kellie Harper was let go. She arrives in Bloomington with one year of eligibility remaining following three years in Knoxville.
Originally from Hartford, Alabama, Striplin started in 39 of her 91 career games for Tennessee and averaged 7.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game this past season. She’ll bring post scoring with the ability to drift to the perimeter for attempts from long range.
“Karoline is a tough post player who can score inside and out while also establishing herself as a great post defender,” head coach Teri Moren said. “She is a player who we’ve faced a couple of times and have been familiar with since high school, so we know her skill set and work ethic will be the perfect fit for us. We are excited for Karoline and her family to be Hoosiers.”

This add is probably the perfect one for this upcoming roster. The Hoosiers lacked experience in the frontcourt with Lilly Meister only having one career start to her name heading into her junior season.
Indiana is adding two freshman frontcourt players, Hoosier state native Faith Wiseman and Sydney Fenn out of AZ Compass Prep, in this year’s freshman class. Those two could have some opportunities off the bench but will likely spend most of year one learning Indiana’s systems on both sides of the ball.
Striplin is a one year option with experience who grants a veteran presence to a frontcourt that’s lacking it. She’ll fit in well with two rising freshman and Meister looking to take the reins from a program all-timer in Mackenzie Holmes.
