The Celtic FC Women are aiming to achieve the “double-double”—a league and cup victory for both the men’s and women’s teams for the first time in Scottish football history—as they take on fierce rivals Rangers at Hampden in order to secure a spot in the final next month.

Since Fran Alonso left the Celtic team earlier in the season, Elena Sadiku has done an amazing job of balancing the team’s operations. Her team is now leading the SWPL 1 table in addition to pursuing the Scottish Cup.

The Ghirls and Rangers will play live on BBC One Scotland for a nationwide audience at 12:15 p.m., while Football Focus and live snooker will be televised for the rest of the UK.Having defeated their city rivals in the previous season’s Hampden final, Celtic is the defending champion.

Prior to her maiden visit to Hampden [Celtic FC], the Celtic manager stated, “It’s a derby game, it’s against Rangers.” Naturally, ever since I moved here, I’ve noticed that Rangers are pursuing the treble everywhere I look.

We want to win every game because we are Celtic, and we have been performing incredibly well in that regard, scoring points.
