Last night’s match at the top of the Championship was expected to be epic, but only one team showed out eager to win. Abdul Fatawu’s slick finish gave Leicester a 1-0 lead at the break, and like Willy Gnonto, he appeared offside when he was passed through.

But the Foxes earned their advantage and dominated the second half as the visiting team totally gave up.

Following the game, there were wild celebrations in the home dressing room as Wilfred Ndidi and Jamie Vardy each scored two goals to complete his hat-trick. Yunus Agkun posted pictures of the festivities on social media.

After playing poorly lately, Foxes legend Jamie Vardy has produced two enormous goals in the team’s previous two games to put them one victory away from automatic promotion, which they can accomplish on Monday night at Deepdale against Preston.

For the final automatic promotion spot, it’s now between Ipswich and ourselves, so we just need to keep doing our job.

Unless there is an absurd goal swing, Southampton is eliminated, leaving us and Ipswich to battle it out for second place in the top two.
