On Friday night, the Dallas Mavericks overcame the Golden State Warriors, thwarting their late-game comeback attempt. With just about a minute remaining in the game, there was a significant missed call, according to the NBA’s Last Two Minute Report.
NBA Admits Big Missed Call in Warriors vs. Mavericks

Warriors star Steph Curry hit a deep three-pointer to reduce the gap to just one point with the Mavericks leading 105-101. The NBA claims that before Curry made his three-pointer, Draymond Green set an illegal screen that should have waived off the basket. This was a huge missed call in a situation like that, even if Dallas managed to win the game.

The NBA also provided an explanation for the contentious blocking foul that was called on Curry with 21.6 seconds left, which was upheld following the Warriors’ challenge. The NBA stated, “Replay review of the foul called on Curry (GSW) pursuant to a coach’s challenge was deemed unsuccessful,” in their explanation of this decision. When Curry (GSW) tries to draw the charge during the contact with Washington (DAL), his heel is improperly positioned over the forbidden area.”

The Warriors suffered a difficult defeat, and it is likely the end of their quest for a seed better than tenth. The Warriors must win in order to advance to the play-in tournament and secure a postseason berth.
