Competing at Champaign, Ill. in the State Farm Center, Michigan claimed first place out of five teams with a score of 418.100 and improved their record to 16-2. Their next event, the Big Ten Individual Finals, is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, at 7 p.m. CT, airing on BTN.
During the competition, Michigan faced a slow start, trailing in the first three rotations but emerged victorious in the latter half. Notably, they excelled on the vault, achieving a season-high score of 73.300 and securing a lead of 3.3 points. Despite challenges, including having to count falls in the high bar rotation, the team’s performance was strong enough to maintain their lead and secure the four-peat.
Several Wolverines also earned top-10 finishes in individual events, earning spots in the upcoming individual event finals scheduled for the following day.
