Columbus, Ohio —For Ohio State football, James Laurinaitis participated in 51 games, and in the majority of them, he played every play where the result was unclear.

He still feels that the linebackers coach he had before him took away precious seconds from him that he can never get back.

Columbus, OhioRyan Day, the football coach at Ohio State, announced earlier this week that 40,000 tickets had already been sold for the spring game at Ohio Stadium on April 13.

According to him, that figure may rise to about 100,000. The annual intrasquad scrimmage tickets are being sold by a number of third-party ticket vendors, including VividSeats, StubHub, SeatGeek, TicketCity, and Ticketmaster.

The roster division, scoring scheme, and other specifics are still to be disclosed. Day did say that all fit players will take part, though. This could be the first opportunity for fans to see stars like receiver Jeremiah Smith, running back Quinshon Judkins, safety Caleb Downs, and quarterback Will Howard in person.

Out of the Power 5 schools that made their game attendance public, Ohio State’s 75,122 declared spring game attendance was the most. For its 2016 scrimmage, the program drew over 100,000 spectators; in 2009 and 2015, it drew over 90,000.

As of April 5, the following are the least expensive single tickets available for the spring game at Ohio Stadium:
