Storm Norton, an offensive lineman, was signed by the Atlanta Falcons, the organization announced on Thursday.

The 317-pound, 6-foot-7 lineman will play in his sixth NFL season, his second with the Falcons. After going undrafted in 2017, Norton made his NFL debut with the Minnesota Vikings in 2018. Before joining the Los Angeles Chargers from 2020 to 2022, he played there for one season.

In September 2023, Norton was signed by the Falcons from the New Orleans Saints practice squad. After that, he appeared in 14 games with the Falcons, starting three of them. He played on special teams 14% of the time and in offense 31% of the Falcons’ snaps.

Weeks 14–16 saw Norton start three games as a right tackle in lieu of Kaleb McGary, who was out with a knee injury. With 50 game appearances altogether, Norton’s career start total now stands at 21 games across five years.

Norton joins Ryan Neuzil, the backup center, who was officially announced on March 4, as the second offensive lineman the Falcons have re-signed from the roster from the previous campaign.

Other than that, the Falcons plan to have all of their offensive line starters from 2023 back in 2024. This would leave the lineup with McGary at tackle, guard Chris Lindstrom, center Drew Dalman, tackle Jake Matthews, guard Matthew Bergeron, with Norton and Neuzil serving as important depth players.
